Costumed Characters

A former instructor of mine teaches a costumed figure drawing class in which they draw the model and abstract the form into a character design. Or something like that. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take the class. However, I've had the chance to overlook student's work and offer some design critique. These drawings started off as critique drawings on tracing paper and I decided to clean them up a bit just for a bit o' fun.

  2. Haha, thanks :) I was just having too much fun helping Jillian with hers that I just had to keep going.

And don't be so hard on yourself. Just checked out your sketches and they turned out really nice!
